Title: Ruling over sin
Bible verse: Genesis 4: 8
Now Cain talked with Abel his brother; and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him.
Message: The first fratricide is one of the serious consequences of the fall into sin.
- The burnt offerings of Cain and Abel were not outwardly distinguishable from one another. The differing assessments of these offerings resulted from the belief or unbelief of the individuals who brought them.
- Faith is demonstrated through trust in God and obedience to Him. Cain was lacking in these.
- The only way to rule over sin is through faith. Jesus Christ has shown us how this can be done.
