Title: Hallowing the name of God in word and deed
Text verse: Matthew 6: 9
Hallowed be Your name
Message: We hallow the name of God through God-fearing and appropriate words and deeds.
Summary:
- The statement in the Lord’s Prayer “hallowed be Your name” is both an acknowledgement and a resolution.
- We bundle all of our previous experiences with God into this statement of the Lord’s Prayer.
- This knowledge causes us to strive to keep the name of God holy by dedicating our time, our gifts, and our words and deeds to Him.
