Title: God is creating something new
Bible verse: Romans 6: 3–4
Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptised into Christ Jesus were baptised into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Message: Through baptism, God Himself creates a new life in which man is already to walk today.
Summary
- After the fall into sin, man was no longer capable of living in fellowship with God.
- The love of God has established the path of redemption. The old Adam must pass away. Through the rebirth out of water and the Spirit, God effects a new creation within us.
- When they make the effort to walk in this new life, God will grant those who have been reborn everlasting fellowship with Himself already on the day of Christ’s return.
