Title: The parable of the barren fig tree

Text verse: Luke 13: 6

He also spoke this parable: “A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard, and he came seeking fruit on it and found none.”

Bible reading: Luke 13: 6 – 9

Message:

God expects us to bear fruit.

Summary:

  • God looks for and expects us to be fruitful.
  • Fruitfulness means we grow into the nature of Christ.
  • God grants grace and sufficient time for us to grow into the nature of Jesus.
  • It is only after this grace period that God will exercise judgement.
