Title: Bearing good fruit
Bible verse: Matthew 13: 24–26
Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared.”
Message: Let us bear fruit even if evil seeks to prevent us from doing so.
Summary
- Sowing is an image for the preaching of the gospel to all mankind, both the good and the bad.
- Let us trust in Christ. Evil cannot undo the plan of redemption.
- The experience of evil must not deter us from bringing forth the fruits of the Spirit.
- Those who faithfully follow Christ will enter into His kingdom.
