Title: Jesus dies with man
Text verse: John 10: 17–18
Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father.
Bible reading: Mark 15: 22–39
Message: Out of love for mankind, Jesus shows solidarity with mankind to the very point of death, thereby fulfilling the will of the Father.
Summary:
- Jesus loves human beings as much as His Father does, and He desires their salvation.
- He fulfills the will of His Father of His own free will, and goes to His death for the sinner.
- Jesus is not the victim of the evil one, but rather acts willingly and deliberately—in oneness with the Father—for the salvation of mankind.
